Welcome to the FreeDOS localisation project!

The FreeDOS localisation project aims to centralise any localisations of FreeDOS packages in one place. It's mostly a tool aimed to packagers of the FreeDOS system, as end-users should get any available localisation of a given program shipped in its own package.

Are you the author/maintainer of one of the listed software? If so, please check if my repository contains all translation files you know about. If you would like to localize a program which is not yet available into your language, feel free to do so, and drop a message to the FreeDOS mailing list.

To review all current translations, the recommended way is to use svn:
svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/freedoslocal/code/ freedoslocal

If you're looking simply to fetch all translation files in a single archive (with the files being already converted to their proper codepages), here you go: freedos-nls.zip

NOTICE: As of December 2016, this project is abandoned. No further translation updates will be managed. I decided to give up on freedoslocal (and FreeDOS in general) in favor of SvarDOS development, hence this website has been frozen, and will likely stay so unless someone with a FreeDOS-centric background would be willing to take over it. -- Mateusz Viste, 2016.12.26
